Although in the world of Disney there is some kind of conflict in every story, perhaps few could imagine a clash of wizards within individual fairy tales. The characters of Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliances are anime characters.

A medium-sized arena is built in front of the players. Each team of fairy-tale characters begins at one end with the fact that they have to get to their juices and somehow eliminate them or at least occupy strategic points in the center of the map. Because eliminating enemies while preventing golden squares from appearing is the path to victory, which in Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliance is determined by how many victory points you receive during your campaign. These are rewards for defeating enemies, control, and using certain abilities at the right time.

One of the main gameplay factors in Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliances is the special ability cards. Literally every character here has their own package, made up of a clearly defined number of pieces. For example, the Sorceress of Malice has the “Devil’s Flight” card, with which she is able to carry out a raid that takes two lives from her saps standing in the flight line. Using the Explosive Fury card, he can cause such damage to an opponent standing on an adjacent field that he will lose three vital energies. Additionally, when you stand on a victory point, nearby enemies will be hit. And it pays off!

Among the cards, Aladdin seemed quite interesting to me. It can not only take away juice from lives, but also from cards. In addition, with the help of some lunges, he also works with the playing field, so he can jump away immediately after an attack and thus move out of the enemy’s range. For some characters, attack cards are combined with movement-oriented cards. The boy with the magic lamp, for example, has a magic carpet on hand that allows him to move three squares and, to make matters worse, it will also take several lives due to the juices he flew through.

Each character is unique

However, cards are not the only way to take the lives of your enemies. All heroes have a basic attack and the idea of elemental movement combined with simple values. Additionally, everyone in Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliance has a special ability, as well as an “ultimate” skill that you only gain after drawing a certain number of cards. Brawler Gaston’s passive skill from Beauty and the Beast is a boost if he gets a sword card. This gives him a temporary strong effect that increases his attack. Additionally, when he defeats his opponent, he can regain three lives, move two squares, and also gain victory points.

The heroes of Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliances differ from each other not only in their special abilities. Each of them must discard other resource cards to activate it. Nor do they possess the same amount of vital energy with which they act. The real brawler Gaston has ten lives. However, he only has one card in his hand. Defeating him will give the winner 6 points. Mickey is a wizard, which apparently makes him one more card than the villainous Gaston. However, he doesn’t have that much life, which is probably the reason why you only get 4 points for defeating him instead of 6.

However, the characters here do not fight for themselves, but go into battle in a team, the size of which is determined by the number of players playing. However, they must cooperate under all circumstances. Without this, you simply won’t succeed here, which is not unusual for this format. However, in Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliances, the combinations work decently, and at least for myself, I’d say they have a decent balance.

The clash of heroes may surprise you in Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliance

Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliances follows in the footsteps of turn-based strategy games featuring heroes. On a huge battlefield, groups of disparate wizards and sorceresses fight, trying to lead their team to victory. Is it worth attention? Undoubtedly yes. This is an interesting thing that fits well with the abilities of individual heroes, the need to combine them, and the specific packages of everyone involved. Of course, the creators don’t put too much emphasis on complexity, but I don’t see a big problem with this game because the target group definitely doesn’t want to get their hands on something difficult to consume, as is the case with Warhammer Underworlds.
