“Game Queens,” a Brazilian-produced documentary exclusive to RedBull TV, directed and produced by Beatrice Scavazzini and a team of established women in the audiovisual scene, has won its space and has been selected to participate in another major global film event, the International Sports Film Festival. The film, which depicts the everyday life of a women’s eSports team, was selected as an outstanding entry in the documentary category.
The second International Sports Film Festival will take place from 20 to 25 November in Castellammare di Stabia (capital city of Naples), Italy. In addition to the awards ceremony for the year’s best films, ISFF will also host educational sessions where students from the region will have the opportunity to watch and discuss the festival’s most acclaimed productions.

The documentary Gaming Queens follows the trajectory of the women’s Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team of one of the largest electronic sports organizations and the largest representative of this sport in Brazil – FURIA. Team members Gabriela Maldonado, Isabella Galle, Marina Prestes, Karina Takashashi and Olga Rodriguez head to their first boot camp in Europe, revealing the challenges they face daily in training and as they rigorously prepare for ESL Impact, the prestigious women’s Counter championship -Strike: Global Offensive.
Already recognized in the local arena, the athletes competed for the unprecedented title of world champions. Gaming Queens is the first mid-length documentary to focus on a women’s esports team in Brazil. It is produced and directed by all women, including director and executive producer Beatriz Scavazzini, Ligia Osorio, who is also executive producing, and screenwriter Martina Sonksen.
