Today the Battlefield™ team unveiled Season 6: Dark Creations Battlefield™ 2042: Available on October 10, this action-packed new season brings a ton of new content to the game, including an all-new map, weapons, gadgets, and gameplay improvements.
These major content additions will be available to all players as part of the 100 free tiers of the Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass*. Additional cosmetic items can be obtained in the Premium version of the Battle Pass. Plus, now is the time to jump into Season 6 and take on the unknown with your squad: Battlefield 2042 will be free on all platforms from October 12 to 16.

In season six, the battlefield takes a turn when a nefarious organization captures No-Pat’s soldiers and subjects them to experiments. FalsifiedA new Dark Creations map in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, inspired by fan-favorite maps from the series’ past such as Operation Locker (Battlefield 4) and Operation Metro (Battlefield 3), is the first map in the franchise to feature entirely indoor playable environments, designed for intense short firefights involving only infantry and many dark secrets.
As with every new season, players will be able to find and try out a variety of new weapons and gadgets in Dark Creations. The VHX D3 features optimized portability and performance, making it a valuable asset for close to mid-range combat. Laugo Alien is an L9CZ pistol whose semi-automatic, highly accurate fire is best suited for close quarters combat.

Last but not least, the G428 rifle has exceptional accuracy and significant penetrating power for snipers. New to the repertoire of gadgets are the Ammo Bag and Medical Bag, which offer players ways to help their squads when death approaches. To provide rapid mission support, climb aboard the YUV-2 Pondhawk, a dynamic two-seat vehicle capable of flight.
In addition to all this content, Season 6 will feature several new quality-of-life additions, including improvements to help players aim on consoles to increase fairness in the game across platforms, recon balancing, vehicle handling improvements such as tank turning, steering airplane, speed/gravity adjustment and much more.
