Overwatch 2 Dark Rise Season 7 starts on October 10

Take on Moira Lilith in Trials of the Sanctuary!

In Blizzard’s first special co-op mode, releasing alongside the Halloween Terror event, players will face the demons of the Burning Hell in a new co-op survival battle: Trials of the Sanctuary. Players will be able to fight as one of six heroes: Demon Hunter Shadow, Zarya Barbara, Illari Nightcrow, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperious Reinhardt and Pharah Inarius, facing merciless legions in a brutal battle for survival. There will be challenging bosses along the way, including Azmodan the Wrecking Ball, Roadhog Butcher, and the Mother of Praise herself, Moira Lilith.

Halloween horror is making a terrifying comeback.

In addition to Trials of Sanctuary, the community’s favorite event modes, Junkenstein’s Revenge This Bride’s Wrath, I’ll be back too. You’ll be able to take on all-new challenges and earn extra Battle Pass XP, Overwatch Credits, and tons of spooky cosmetic items. This spooky holiday starts today from October 10 to November 1.

While participants complete the tricky tasks of the event, they will have the opportunity to spend the credits they receive. For the first time, it will be possible to spend Credits to unlock heroes Overwatch 2: Sojorn, Queen Junker, Kiriko, Ramattra and the Weaver of Life. This special feature is available for one week only, while 17 October.

Loans Overwatch What you purchase can also be used to purchase skins that are returning to the Halloween Terror Credit Store for a limited time, including the new Golden Shadow of the Slayer Legendary skin and the new Remix of the Shadow of the Demon Slayer skin. These limited-time Halloween Horror Credits Store items will return to the grave in November 7.

Fight on the new map of Samoa!

This season brings back one of the toughest battlegrounds in Overwatch 2. Samoa is a new control map where heroes will fight on tropical beaches, in villages and even inside a volcano. Samoa will be playable immediately on an exclusive arcade map and appear in Quick Play and other regular modes starting October 10th, with a competitive debut scheduled for later in the season.

This season’s Battle Pass takes a dark and scary route, offering themed cosmetics that will send shivers down the spine of both enemies and allies. Everyone will be able to earn new epic skins such as the Victorian Ghost Pike and Soldier: 76 Crimson Clowns. The Premium Battle Pass includes terrifying Legendary skins such as Azmodan’s Wrecking Ball, Victorian Doll Echo, and Diesel Baron Ramattra. After completing all 80 levels, players will receive the Mythical Hanzo Onryo.

Also included in this season’s Ultimate Battle Pass are the Legendary Moira Lilith skin and the Legendary Pharah Inarius skin, as well as an epic new pumpkin-themed skin for Bastion (yes, seriously), as well as an early start to collect other very dark cosmetic items with 1000 coins Overwatch and 20 jumps per step. There will be even more terrifying surprises coming to the game’s Premium Store in the coming weeks.

The skill set has been redesigned for Shadow!

Overwatch 2 – Season 7: Dark Rise includes several new balance changes, but most importantly, it introduces an entirely new set of skills for Shadow. Opportunist’s ability has been removed, and her Stealth has become a passive ability that automatically activates when Shadow is not taking damage, dealing damage, or using abilities.

The Translocator has also been redesigned to instantly teleport her wherever it is thrown. Finally, Sombra has a new ability, Virus, which deals damage over time to the target it hits and deals double damage at a faster rate if it’s already hacked. In addition to changes to her autopistol, hacking, and EMP, the character will become more attractive in-game and in person.

The goal is to allow Sombra to focus more on the targets she interacts with, as well as make her skill set more active, while maintaining her personality and playstyle as the world’s greatest hacker. More details on Sombra’s redesign will come in a future post.

Season 7 Hero Balance Preview

Balances will also be made to a number of other heroes. The changes made to May in Season 5 have been reversed, returning her to her previous gear and removing the Excessive Cold passive. Changes to Zarya’s Projectile Barrier from last season will also be partially reversed, so she won’t be able to generate energy faster, but will still have a faster cooldown to protect allies.

The changes also affected Oris, Ramattra, Wrecking Ball, Cassidy, Torbjorn, Bridget and Illari. Learn more about the balance changes in Season 7 in the latest Director’s Chat post.
Travel the new Highway 66!

Route 66, one of Overwatch’s original escort maps, is getting changes that should provide better protection for attackers leaving their original spawn point. Despite the suspended carriages blocking the view, Cafe Panorama is pleased to report that it is open and offers additional shelter from both the scorching sun and the hail of gunfire from the defense team.

If you push the Payload past the first checkpoint, doors will now fail and only partially close, giving attackers more opportunities to get past difficult chokepoints. The defenders will be in a better position to prevent strike teams from overrunning the final checkpoint, as some of the cargo has been removed from the Dead End gang’s lair. You can also enjoy cooler weather with new cloud lighting on the map.
