As part of the symbolic celebration, CCXP23 confirms the participation of four Brazilian comics artists who have written famous works from the Marvel Comics franchise. Rod Reis, R.B. Silva and Lucas Werneck will be present at Artists’ Valley By Bis every day, and Roger Cruz will be present on Saturday and Sunday at Chiaroscuro Studios, one of the world’s leading illustration agencies.

ROGER CRUZ – @rogercruzart
Roger Cruz was born in Sao Paulo and is one of the first Brazilians to represent Brazil in the American comics industry, starting with the success of the X-Men games in the 1990s. For Marvel, he also drew Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Ghost magazines. Ryder and Hulk. In Brazil he published Os Fabulosos, A Irmandade Bege and two HQMix award-winning comics: Xampu and Qualqualigundum. He currently works for DC Comics as an artist on titles such as Robin, The Flash and Shazam.
ROD REIS – @rodreis
Rod Reis also represented Brazil in the international comics market and started out as a colorist for DC Comics on titles such as Justice League and Aquaman. 15 years later, he was working on two Image Comics projects, COWL and Hadrian’s Wall, which piqued the interest of Marvel, who hired him as an artist. In Casa das Ideias he illustrated the Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange and the New Mutants.
RB SILVA – @rbsilva_comics
Brazilian R.B. Silva has been working in the American comics market for over 15 years and is considered one of the most versatile and sought-after artists today. He has published work for DC Comics and Dark Horse, and was an exclusive artist for Marvel Comics for over eight years, where he drew X-Men: Powers of X and Spider-Man 2099.
LUCAS WERNECK – @lukaswerneck
Lucas Werneck was born in Sao Paulo and made his debut in the American comics market as a comic book artist and illustrator in 2019. Since then, he has worked for other major publishers such as Boom Studios, Marvel Comics and DC Comics. During his short career, he took part in several major titles in the comic book world, such as Captain America, Fantastic Four, Harley Quinn, X-Men and others. He currently works as a Marvel exclusive artist and produces Undying X-Men with Kieron Gillen.
