This Wednesday (16) CCXP23 will announce the confirmation of six comics artists to the prestigious Artists’ Valley By Bis as part of the largest pop culture festival in the world. Rafael Albuquerque, Lorenzo de Felici, Eduardo Pansica, José Luis, Greg Tocchini and Ariel Olivetti are ready to welcome fans, share experiences and present their work throughout each day of the event.
The artists approved for Artists’ Valley By Bis have solid careers and have made major contributions to the comic book universe. Rafael Albuquerqueone of the brightest artists is the Porto Alegre-based artist who has won Eisner, Harvey and Inkpot Awards and has been working with giant North American publishers for more than a decade, including such well-known projects as All Star Batman, Batgirl and Eight.
He is also a founding member of the Stout Club, a partnership that has resulted in works such as Funny Creek and Hidden Society.
Eduardo Pansica, another heavyweight name on the scene, has been earning a spot in DC comics since 2009, contributing to iconic titles like Wonder Woman, Nightwing, and Suicide Squad. Apart from his career in comics, Pansika also excels as a teacher of fine arts and storytelling, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of artists.
The Brazilian representation in the international market is also represented Greg Tocchini, a Sao Paulo-born artist who has amassed a portfolio of works published by renowned publishers such as Marvel and DC Comics. His work includes work on Wolverine, Thor: Son of Asgard, Batman & Robin and LOW.
Jose Luis, a comics artist from Ceara, impresses with a 14-year career focused on the international market. With work published by several American publishers such as DC Comics and Marvel Comics, José Luis has made his mark on games such as Justice League of America, Teen Titans and Conan the Avenger.
International comics artists also guaranteed their presence at the festival. Lorenzo de Felici, an Italian artist, showed the world his talent with Oblivion Song: Song of Silence, created in collaboration with renowned Robert Kirkman. He is currently collaborating with Kirkman again on a new sci-fi series called Void Rivals.
Finally, Ariel Olivetti, born in Argentina, has cemented his career with breathtaking titles in games like X-Men, Daredevil and Batman. With a versatile style that spans everything from acrylic to oil, Olivetti is an undeniable name in the comics industry.
CCXP23 is curated to create a line that represents the excellence of the global comic scene.
