Warner Bros. Games has unveiled a new skin for the character Tanya from the new game of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Tanya Funqueira.
This is the first time a female character has been given a Brazilian-inspired skin that this time honors funk culture with vibrant greens and yellows coloring an outfit that oozes musical flair.
The themed skin is part of a long-term partnership between NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games from Brazil that have previously brought iconic and popular costumes among players such as Liu Kang Capoeirista, soccer player Johnny Cage and Kung Lao Gaucho for Mortal Kombat X (2015) and Cano Cangaceiro for Mortal Kombat 11 (2019).
Like its predecessors, Tanya’s new look is meant to represent Brazilian culture. In view of the relevance of funk to country music, NetherRealm Studios brings this interpretation to the game.

For players who wish to use the Tanya Funkeira skin in combat, it will be available through digital purchases made directly from the official Brazilian PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Nuuvem, Nintendo eShop and Epic Games Store.
The skin will also be included as a brochure on the physical PlayStation 5 officially sold in Brazil. Pre-orders of the Official Brazilian Physical Edition for PlayStation 5 are available now at major Brazilian retailers and websites in regular and limited editions, including Steelcase. Both versions include pre-order DLC with playable character Shang Tsung and Tanya Funqueira skin.
Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest entry in the critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat video game franchise developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios. It presents a reborn universe and a new story with legendary heroes and villains like never before.
