Riot Games premiered today on all digital media platforms. animated web series “Little Adventures” with little legends Chonch, Pinggu and Shisa.
This piece is the centerpiece of a true expanded universe of content that also includes webcomics, stickers and playlists inspired by the most charismatic characters from Teamfight Tactics (TFT), a strategy game set in the League of Legends universe.
The series consists of 13 episodes, ranging in length from 15 to 30 seconds, and was created and produced entirely in Brazil, inspired by traits such as anime and a fun and engaging storytelling with a hilarious and humorous tone.
The production is signed by Split Studio, an animation studio that has already created entertainment content for brands such as Cartoon Network, Cartoonito, Comedy Central, TV Cultura, Disney Junior, Sanrio, Instituto Ayrton Senna, Mauricio de Sousa Produções, Wonder Media, Midas Music and Canal Futura, among others. To strengthen the team, Split introduced Pachinko, an initiative by Bruno Honda and Roger Kess that specializes in the creation and development of not only content but also intellectual property.

Little adventures
Each episode will show viewers a new facet of the TFT universe, centered on the tense adventures of the three characters, with situations that we Brazilians have experienced, such as the good old everyday slackers and even moments of relaxation in between – which shows that, after all, we all have TFT moments in our lives. The web series will reveal a piece of every little legend that lives in each of us, which makes it even more like animation.
“Through three characters, the narrative shows what an adventurous spirit is like in everyday life as we show how the main characters go out of their way to carry out a routine. I believe that the public can identify themselves and find the Chonch/Shisa/Pinga that lives in everyone.”explains Daniel Gow, creative director at Riot Games.

The opposite of Choncc! Shisa carefully plans every detail of her life, but when the slightest thing goes wrong, it’s best to step aside. Her determination and dedication may take her far, but her short temper will destroy many video game controllers, cars, elevators, and even entire buildings throughout the series.
Expanded universe with illustrations, collaborations and music
The TFT Expanded Universe also includes 8 short social media videos, 12 webcomics, 10 collaborations by Brazilian artists such as Paulo Moreira, V. Laud and Helo D’Angelo, 3 “lo-fi” videos, and 20 stickers – an unprecedented effort by the creative team to coordinate all the pieces in six different types of content so that they work in isolation and complement each other.
“The creative strategic planning of this transmedia content had one main goal: to make TFT fans fall in love with the main characters even more. We want Pingu, Shisa and Chonch to have a special place in the hearts of Brazilian audiences after this first season.” says Bruno Honda, director and executive producer of Split Studio.
One of the most interesting aspects of “Pequenas Aventuras” is the original soundtrack created by mdois. The arrangements and melodies were created to capture the essence of the characters in each episode of the web series. This is a work created exclusively for animation by Brazilian talents, with a sonic journey that promises to appeal to all gamers – whether casual or competitive.
After synthesizing the personalities of Little Legends, it was important that the musical styles allowed for the exploration of all the nuances present in the episodes. In doing so, it was decided that Choncc would have a more fun and relaxed musical universe, with Brazilian music, especially funk, being the most interesting style to explore. Electronic music was chosen for Pingu, especially Drum’n’Bass, to give it a more modern feel, and some moments of heroism brought in more epic music as well as the character’s own behavior in the scenes. For Shisa, due to his demeanor and transgressive personality, heavy metal was the best possible style to tie his entire story together.
“After diving into the TFT universe, we set about looking for individual soundtracks that capture the essence of the characters a little bit. From the moment we created these different musical universes for each of them, the challenge was to seamlessly cross all these languages so that the songs help to effectively drive the narrative of the episodes and still create a sonic unity between all the elements”, says Samuel Ferrari, music producer for mdois, the music company responsible for the soundtrack.
In addition to the original storytelling and soundtrack, Riot Games will also provide special surprises for TFT players. Lo-fi playlists, gifs, Twitch stickers, collaborations with community artists and more will be released throughout the web series season.
