The Quarry has a “Movie Mode” with no gameplay

In the latest IGN preview Stone pitWith a strong emphasis on Supermassive Games’ narrative, the new horror has revealed more details about a particular mode available in the game. Movie Modeallowing players to experience as if it was a real movieremoving any game mechanics from the equation.

There are no game elements in this mode, and once the game starts we just have to choose “everyone lives” or “everybody dies” depending on our mood. Once this is done, we can very well close the controller, relax, and experience The Quarry as if it were a movie without our direct intervention.

However, in case you want more control over the narrative, the “Director’s Chair” option is available where you can choose from a variety of behavioral presets that The Quarry’s heroes will adopt throughout the game. For example, we can decide whether Nick will act “peaceful” or “uneasy” in dangerous situations, or whether Laura will be “understanding” or “inconsistent” in conversations, thus creating unique situations and stories each time. As explained in our preview of The Quarry, it’s also possible, if desired, to randomize these options so that you don’t know in advance how the heroes will move and how the plot will unfold.

The Quarry is available for PS5, Xbox Series X | We remind you that it is available for S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. 10 June 2022. IGN also recently released a 30-minute gameplay video of the new Supermassive Games game.
