apex legends will receive its new legend, Ballistic, in the next Respawn FPS game update, along with changes to the maps and ranked play. Along with the Apex Legends Season 17 release date, as part of an update called Arsenal, we have more information on Ballistics, as well as additional challenges and Battle Pass content now making its way into Apex Legends.
“Under the alias Ballistic, August Montgomery Brinkman was once the top entrant in the Thunderdome Games,” explains Respawn. “But after the tragic loss of his son-in-law, Ballistic withdrew and went into isolation.
“For 40 years he went into hiding until an unexpected event brought him back and forced him to make an offer to the Syndicate that he couldn’t ignore.” An assault class legend from the planet Gaia, you can learn more about Ballistic’s history in the new trailer below:
Along with the new legend in the form of ballistics, Apex Legends Season 17 will also include changes to the Apex Legends World’s Edge map. There will be new weapons mastery challenges, as well as an “enhanced” shooting range that will make practice even more productive.
Respawn also promises that “changes are coming to the leaderboard,” but doesn’t specify what they might be. There will also be a new Battle Pass called “Arsenal” that you can work with during Season 17. Apex Legends Arsenal and Ballistic launch on May 9..
