Blizzard adds another WoW Dragonflight accessory to its Nerf stack

If you thought the World of Warcraft Dragonflight explosive mod changes were good, then my friend, I have even more good news for you. Blizzard has been focusing on the Raging affix in the MMORPG to ensure it is in good shape for WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1.

On April 12, the WoW Dragonflight PTR saw many mod adjustments, the main one being the complete removal of the Explosive mod from WoW Dragonflight Season 2.

Other changes included altering the affixes available on keys 7 and 14, as well as some small tweaks to each of them, but Blizzard wasn’t done yet.

While the reaction has been positive, “Stonekey,” a WoW developer who may have been burned to the top with the affix change, notes that “we’ve seen everyone play and heard feedback on the update. It’s our affix day” and the team decided that Raging also needed some tweaking.

“We are hearing feedback that Raging, which prevents interruptions on top of crowd control, is too harsh, and we agree with that. A hotfix will be sent to PTR worlds soon to allow the effects of creatures under the rage to be interrupted.”

Released alongside Explosive in Legion, the Raging affix buffs non-boss enemies whose health bars have dropped below 30% by 50%, meaning they deal much more damage before finally going down.

In WoW Dragonflight 10.1 PTR, the affix was adjusted to soften both CC and interrupts, which was a nightmare for an annoying Shadow Priest like me who likes to use Silence. Although Control Immunity will remain after the patch, you can now interrupt mobs as before.

If all these affix changes sound like music to you, I recommend checking out our WoW Dragonflight tier list before jumping into Mythic+. We also have a list of the best WoW addons, most of which are essential for Azeroth enthusiasts.
