Blizzard’s Diablo 4 beta was a smash hit, but it only allowed you to experience the first RPG zone, Fractured Peaks. After showing off Diablo 4 Endgame content in a new video, I asked if we could test Nightmare Dungeons and other features before launch.
Prior to the release of the Diablo 4 beta, there were closed gameplay previews of Diablo 4. Going even further back, there was a mysterious endgame beta that was only open to people closely associated with the company and a select few. of hardcore fans.
Before the release of Blizzard’s “Into the Endgame” video, I asked associate game director Joseph Piepiora if the broader population of Sanctuary could get a glimpse of the hell that awaits before the game’s official release.
“We used to do a final beta where we had to test the version [endgame] features we’re talking about today and we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from this closed beta to this one,” he told PCGamesN.
“Going forward, we do not have a final beta version planned before the game launches, but we will continue to conduct internal testing of these features as we get closer to the June 6 release date.”
While that may be disappointing, I also miss Diablo 4 and need a daily dose of Lilith, I get it, in many ways I’m even more excited to finish the campaign and try out all these new features.
I liked the beta, but since I had the privilege of being invited to early previews, the vast majority of the content was the same, except for the Necromancer and Druid. The ending is fresh and bright and awash in fresh blood, and I can’t wait to dive into it.
With Diablo 4’s release date fast approaching, the only question that remains is which of the five Diablo 4 classes you will choose when you first play this new and improved Sanctuary. I would recommend Rogue, but fun fact I only play Rogue so I’m very biased.
