Genshin Impact Layla’s new encounter event is a bit different than what an anime game usually offers, as HoYoverse gave her a worry meter instead of the usual approval meter other characters use. To be more specific, Layla’s meter is labeled “Stress Value” and reflects his current state of mind as he hangs out. So far, all the other characters have used the familiar dating sim-style approval system, but it feels so much more real.
Layla is a student at Sumeru Academy, which means she regularly has to write a lot of papers and do academic papers. So much so that she often feels overwhelmed and sleep deprived, a situation all too familiar to students in real life.
It is mentioned in-game that she is often “tortured by her own disturbing thoughts”, so one of your goals during these encounters with Layla is to not stress her out more than she already is.
Players who suffer from any type of social anxiety are more likely to resonate with Layla and her personality. The same goes for Sucrose and Collea, two characters who have bluntly admitted that they don’t do well in overly social situations. It was nice to see them getting along at version 3.5 of the Mondstadt Windblume Festival though.
Layla’s party has six different endings, so you’ll get to know her pretty well if you pick them all.
If you enjoy hanging out with Layla during her new event, be sure to lure her into the first half of the Genshin Impact 3.6 version banners. She is available with Nahida, Nilou, Shinobu, and Dori.
Layla’s gameplay doesn’t work well with Nahida or Nilo as Crio doesn’t interact with Dendro and Nilo’s kit works better with Dendro’s characters. But Layla works well with Ayaka and Shenhe, who just became available in previous character banners.
