After months of teasing monitor 2 team, we now know all the details of Bridget’s latest rework as part of the balance changes overwatch 2 season 4. While Brigitte has always had her fans, she has often been considered one of Blizzard’s worst supporters. free pc gameand struggled to fend for herself in our Overwatch 2 Tier Listespecially with the advent of highly efficient mobile support services like Kiriko.
Fortunately, Blizzard is well aware of its shortcomings and has made a number of changes to its kit as part of its continued focus on support since the sequel’s release. More recently, the Overwatch 2 Season 3 balance patch added some autonomy to your repair kit and a 10% reduction in your final cost to back it up, but this final hotfix is the icing on a very promising and solid cake. .
So let’s do a quick review. Before the change, Bridget’s Rallying ultimate gave her a movement speed buff and over time applied super health to herself and nearby allies, granting her a maximum of 100 super health on top of her 150 hit points and 50 armor. . Most of these effects remain in place, with the major difference being that the excess health applied to Brigitte is now armor. This armor is also applied all at once, rather than the turn-based boost it was previously based on, making Brigitte much more resilient during confrontational moments.
One of the most obvious nerfs to Brigitte is removing the stun from Shield Bash. This decision goes back to many changes in Overwatch 2 that were implemented to reduce the effect of crowd control. Some heroes, like Cassidy, have adapted to the changes in their loadout, but that hasn’t let our brave squire take a breather. Well Bridget, rejoice, Shield Bash’s stun effect is back as part of Bridget’s ultimate makeover.
Finally, Brigitte’s barrier shield expands for the duration of her ultimate, changing from a vertical rectangle to a horizontal rectangle very similar to Reinhardt’s own shield. He also got a boost from 300 to 750, making him more viable for holding a line of defense with Bridget on Overwatch 2 maps.
There’s no doubt that this ultimate makeover will light a fire in the hearts of Bridget fans, but the changes to her outfit are subtle enough to make her look well balanced rather than overtly overwhelming. Rally’s ten second duration stays in place of her, so unless she has Lightning Fingers, she’ll probably only be able to stun Shield Bash once per ult the vast majority of the time.
