The Destiny 2 cast listings on IMDB hint at the return of Cissy Jones as Sloane, confirming that players can once again take on the villains of the game’s lost fate, Titan, in Bungie’s hit FPS game. Sloane disappeared from Destiny 2 when the Dark Fleet removed Titan and other celestial bodies as playable destinations in the game. She swore to fight no matter what and disappeared after Luna disappeared.
While it’s important to note that IMDB isn’t always a completely reliable source, DestinyTracker, who originally shared the update via Twitter, reports that the source is generally accurate on Destiny 2 streams. He also noted that IMDB was right about voiced by Saint-14 actors and Mithrax, before they appeared in the game.
Rumors continue to circulate about the return of Titan, a playable Destiny that was scrapped in a massive overhaul in which the developers also removed Io, Mars, and Mercury from the game. The recent Winterglaive mission in Destiny 2 hinted at activity on Titan, many speculating that the Guardians will see fate again sooner rather than later.
Cissy Jones voiced Sloane in season 11 when the character disappeared. However, since Sloane disappeared in the game’s story and she is not known to be dead, the character could have continued her efforts to fight for the Light wherever the Dark Fleet chose her fate. This means that her return can make sense in the context of the game’s story.
A recent Avalon quest in the Destiny 2 Vexcalibur Exotic glaive quest indicates that Asher Mir, who also disappeared from the game around the same time, is still alive in some form. Lightfall’s IMDB page also lists the voice actor for Vance’s brother, who has also not been seen in the game since the same time the character entered the Infinite Forest. This indicates that Vance could also return.
Additional cast lists reveal that players will soon see some other characters players haven’t heard much about lately, like Finch, our ghostly ally from The Witch Queen, and Spider, the egotistical crime boss who held Raven captive. . after his resurrection as a Guardian, in the near future.
An earlier IMDB update also revealed that veteran voice actress Kimberly Brooks would be playing the role of Xivu Arata, but references to him have since been removed from the site. However, if the rumors are true, players will soon be able to hear the voice of Hive God of War. Brooks is an accomplished voice actor whose voice acting in video games includes the Mass Effect series, Psychonauts 2, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and many more.
While players are already excited to see which characters will reappear in Destiny 2 Season 21, there is still plenty of content to enjoy in the current multiplayer season. If you haven’t already, check out our Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotics list to see what goodies you can get in-game.
