When will Judas be released? Judas is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Ghost Story Games, a studio run by Ken Levine and other former Irrational Games developers. Yes, the same developers that gave us the famous BioShock and BioShock Infinite. Like the previous games, Judas will be a story-driven first-person shooter set in a futuristic sci-fi universe.
Although we are still a long way from getting our hands on this exciting FPS game, we can shed some light on what to expect with the upcoming Judas release date, trailers, gameplay, story, and more.
Judas Release Date Speculation
Unfortunately, there is no known release date or window for Judas yet. Étant donné que la bande-annonce a été diffusee pour la première fois début decembre 2022, sans no indication que le jeu a déjà atteint les derniers stades de developpement, nous ne devrions pas nous attendre à ce qu’une date de sortie de Judas arrive this year. We could see a second trailer or first gameplay video before the end of 2023.
PC players can find Judas on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and the game will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Judas Trailer
The Judas trailer, announced during The Game Awards 2022, introduces us to the game’s protagonist, Judas, as she stumbles upon the wreckage of a starship, making it clear that it is a space game. If you look closely, you will notice that she is actually visible through the reflection of the window. In the distance we can see a massive planet undergoing a huge bright blue explosion. A few frames later, you can see the surprise on Judas’s face when she notices it too.
Judas’s voiceover says that “the only way out of here… is with one of them”, a tone that suggests she isn’t too happy with her choice of companions. We don’t know exactly who “they” are, but the camera pans to the sheriff, a pink-haired cyborg woman with visible injuries, and an extravagantly dressed cyborg woman showing off some cool dance moves. Later, the sheriff shows up to take on the role of combat instructor, while a pink-haired woman shoots an enemy, and a costumed lady shows up to open a shop. Looks like they’ve joined the Judas team.
Throughout the rest of the trailer, we see futuristic-looking rooms, another spaceship wreckage, a second planet, another female character who appears to be shooting at us, a prison cell, and a meteor headed for the Judas wreck. Let’s explore this a bit more, shall we?
jude story
The plot summary on the official website confirms that we will be playing the “mysterious and restless” Judas, whose space journey is interrupted at the beginning of the game. Next target? Flee. How to do it is up to you, since the official description of the game says that you can “make or break alliances with your worst enemies”.
We can only guess how the ship was destroyed, but since the place is in ruins, a fire has broken out, and a dead man lies in the corner… Our money in the attack probably came from the same people we were able to form a partnership with. Alliance.
Interestingly, there are many signs that point to one or another type of oppressive ideology and regime that are central to Jude’s narrative. There are some signs that seem to promote a certain lifestyle, and judging by the plaque on the wall, there is a “social credit” requirement in what looks like a train station. The plaque also mentions “pilgrims only”, indicating that not all members of the society are treated equally.
What is common is the theme of love. A pink-haired woman sits in front of a statue of a kissing couple holding a red rose. The poster shows a loving couple sharing a heart-shaped cookie and also urging you to “eat the cookie.” We see very similar cookies lying on the floor of a prison cell. And one of the propaganda posters in a later scene makes direct reference to love: “Twisted – love is toxic”. I don’t know what’s in those love cookies… But it can’t be good.

Judging by the description of the game, it is very likely that we will have to make several important decisions that will determine the outcome of the story. If the protagonist’s name is any indication… There will be room for betrayal if you choose to follow this path.
Considering that many horse-shaped robots appear in the trailer, we can assume that these guys are our main type of opponents. There is also a brief scene with a small robot wielding a laser in what appears to be a tutorial. Pay special attention to the destruction of the robot; Judas uses the glowing green dot on his left arm to connect it to the robot’s head and destroy the little boy.
The green dot should be a kind of biotechnical and multifunctional weapon. Judas then uses the point to throw something, just before setting his hand on fire. A similar bionic hand mechanism can also be seen on other characters in the trailer, including a pink-haired cyborg girl.
Of course, the biotech arm will not be Judas’s only weapon. You can also see a pistol and a crossbow, both of which have a steampunk look. And do you see that hammer that Judas threw at the beginning of the trailer? It could be a unique look… Or it could be a preview of a special tool.
As for Judas’ vehicles, the scene in the trailer at 0:40 suggests that we’ll have a huge dog-shaped robot traveling around certain planets. Comprehensive!
Now that you know everything there is to know about the Judas release date, maybe you can wait a bit with some of the best PC games of all time or the best single player games. Could Judas appear on this list? When it starts?
