Interesting for new Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotic? No need to dig through your collections – we’ve got a full list of all the new exotic weapons and armor waiting for you in the latest expansion.
If you’re wondering where you’ll find these golden delights, we can help, too. New exotic armor pieces can usually be obtained by completing Destiny 2’s Legendary Lost Sectors, while new exotic weapons tend to be tied to quests; more on all of that below. Older Exotics, both weapons and armor, can be bought from Xur, dropped from certain activities, or if you’re really lucky, only while you’re in the world. Read on for a complete list of all the new Exotics in Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion. Note that you’ll need to own the Lightfall expansion to access them.

- deterministic chaos (empty machine gun)
- Final warning (weapon strands)

Leap Abeyant – Titan Leg Armor
This exotic armor works in conjunction with the Titan Barricade. Equipping it grants the user additional armor when using their barricade and spawns two homing projectiles that aggressively track down targets and stop them. “Suspend” is a new verb used with Strand subclasses and has been shown to be extremely powerful, and Titans can mix it with certain shards to create powerful Strand builds.
Conditional Completion: Stasis Shotgun
The Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares raid exotic is a conditional finality, double-barreled shotgun with Stasis rounds on one side and Solar rounds on the other. Landing almost all Stasis Orbs freezes enemies and touching almost all Solar Orbs sets them on fire. Note that you can combine this with shards that amplify the effects of frozen targets or combustion to create extremely powerful builds. Also, Bungie is the first to introduce a system where completing certain Raid Triumphs increases your chances of getting Exotics.
Kirtarakhn Facade – Hunter Helmet
This exotic hunter helmet provides additional protection by providing body armor and resistance to flinching after a capture. It is powerful with a playable subclass of Hunter’s Threadrunner Strand since the subclass was designed with grappling based mobility at the base.
Deterministic Chaos: Lesser Heavy Machine Gun
Described as “rhythmic”, this Void-based machine gun works in a way that every fourth bullet turns into a heavy projectile that weakens targets on impact. Every sixteenth heavy shell makes the target unstable on impact. Combined with certain Aspects and Shards that use weakened and unstable targets, this weapon is a power up if equipped with the right builds.
Final Warning: Strand Kinetic Guns
This energy weapon fires charged tracking projectiles. By holding the trigger of this pistol, it marks targets and fires a burst of bullets. The shells will also aggressively track down marked targets when fired from the hip.
Quicksilver Storm Kinetic Rifle
The Quicksilver Storm is a kinetic assault rifle that uses Cloud Strider technology to transform into a rocket launcher and then a grenade launcher. Multiple shots turn your projectiles into micro-rockets, and after landing a few rockets, you can switch modes to a grenade launcher. Although its use is limited to specific occasions, overall it’s a fun weapon with corkscrew rifles, high caliber projectiles, and a hand stock as advantages. Completing the Quicksilver Storm Catalyst task turns an automatic rifle into a Strand weapon and allows you to create streams with the last few shots from the grenade launcher.
Swarms – Warlock Leggings
The Warlock Strand Broodweaver subclass is one of Destiny’s most unique, and this item makes it even more powerful. She uses the power of the Strand to spawn “treadlings” that infect and attack enemies after destroying the tangles that players create by defeating enemies with the Strand.
Ice Curve – Stasis Bow
The Season Pass Exotics are going to be great. It has an icicle for an arrow and can freeze multiple enemies at once with the Hail perk. Exotic bows tend to be strong in Destiny 2, and this one is no different. There is also a catalyst quest that you can start immediately after getting the bow, which will only make it stronger.
vexcalibur
Added during the first weekly reset, the Vexcalibur is an exotic glaive that can be unlocked through a secret mission in the EDZ. The glaive’s internal trait, the M1R Cast Array, fires multiple projectiles and gives the weapon a rapidly depleting shield. Blocking damage with a shield grants you and nearby allies an additional void shield.
Winterbite – Heavy Stasis Glaive
This Glaive fires a large ball of stasis energy that locks onto targets and freezes them. Since various aspects of Stasis and Fragments increase the potency of damage dealt to frozen targets, you should be able to combine this with Destiny 2’s Stasis Titan Best Builds, Hunter Stasis Best Builds, and Warlock Stasis Best Builds for maximum carnage. For example, with Whisper of Refraction Stasis Fragment, defeating slowed or frozen targets grants class ability energy. With the help of the Whisper of Bond shard, hitting frozen targets grants super energy. As long as the player has a steady stream of heavy ammo, equipping this glaive with the proper stasis build makes it an extremely powerful combo.
We’ve been promised that Destiny 2 Season 20 will feature more exotic weapons and armor, as well as some great Legendary weapons, so the party is definitely not over yet. Destiny will likely introduce another exotic weapon in Destiny 2 Lightfall’s The Root of Nightmares raid.
