Gathering Breakdown in Destiny 2: Root of Nightmares

Even though the Hard in the Paint team completed the raid in less than 2.5 hours in Bungie’s first ever raid run in the world, that doesn’t mean it’s easy, because the members of this team are some of the highest rated players in the world. Destiny 2 ecosystem. Most casual players will find the raid difficult to handle, especially if they plan to complete it in competitive mode.

Here’s a breakdown of how to complete the different stages.

Introduction

This step is the opening of the raid. You’ll start by going through the entrance area, go until you can’t go any further, then follow the path to the left around the outside of the ship. As you go around the curve, you will fight enemies and in the distance you will see a large statue. Use it to guide him forward. Once you pass it, follow the hallways to the right, then follow the curved path to the first date.

Cataclysm

Once you reach this point, you will be required to survive the attack.

The mechanics of this stage require two people to shoot the Wanderer-type sphere at the same time, which grants a buff called “Field of Light”. The goal is to get the ball to the other side of the arena by passing it through nodes that look like spirals.

Starting this encounter will activate a timer for the “Sweeping Terror” debuff, which will destroy the team if the following steps are not completed in time. At this point, players not tasked with shooting the orbs will need to kill two psions in melee, spawning a Tormeter. They should quickly kill the Tormeter, which will add valuable time before the Sweeping Terror debuff effect destroys the team. This will also create the following node. Note that they will alternate respawn sides.

From there, the group of two players that fired the initial orb must work as a team to link the buffs from the orb while their teammates remove the adds throughout the match. One ward will shoot the orb and the other will go to the node which, if the ward has the Light Field buff, he will have the orb to consume. A beam of light from the Wanderer’s orb indicates the direction of the next. Once that guardian reaches that orb and fires it, the traveling orb in the spawn bar will tell the team where to head next. Another torturer will spawn, then players will need to kill it once more to create a node. They should continue to alternate in this manner until the arena is cleared. Each time, players can expect to connect 4-5 nodes and take out around four torturers to complete the encounter.

Once your team is done, you will need to cross the corridor again by following the path around it, and once you see a platform with a black object in front of it, shoot it and it will push you back into a large space. opening.

Follow the enemies and then continue your journey through the winding paths. You will then enter another area where you will have to fight Nezarek’s Pretender, as many add. Once you get past this part, follow the tree branches and higher and higher platforms, then follow the winding paths and roots again. You’ll then need to clear more ads, after which you’ll head to a platform where you’ll use the same platforming mechanic to shoot a diamond and launch yourself down the path. At the end of this path, you will come across another Nezarek suitor that you will have to defeat.

Then continue your way up, which will take you to another hallway, at which point you will be prompted to “Enter Root”.

Session

Please note that timing is critical for this encounter due to the limited amount of time players can act. This also includes getting off the platform to cross the chasm and continue up.

First, divide into two teams of three. Two players from each team must stay on their side, and the third player from each team, called the runner, will run from one side of the chasm to the other. The two players left behind should be tasked with eliminating mobs. Keep in mind that sometimes you will have to fight more difficult enemies, such as the Barrier Colossus. Additionally, some enemies will be shielded and can only be damaged by players with the Field of Light perk.

Shoot the orb to gain a Light Field buff which, when activated, will transfer to all wards within its aura. As in the previous encounter, you will be told which nodes you need to shoot to continue the action. However, only players with the Field of Light perk can activate these nodes. In general, it is similar to the first encounter, but now there will also be a dark side and a light side.

The runners will need to shoot the black object to launch the launcher. However, they must be positioned correctly in relation to the caster in order to defeat it each time without dying.

One way to fix this with the Destiny 2 Raid Secrets subreddit is as follows:

  • A single runner on each side follows the orb prompts and shoots the orbs.
  • That player then returns to the spawn point of the Field of Light buff.
  • One of the additional players on both sides should also return to the spawn point, where shooting the orb will refresh its buff. The other continues to delete the additions.
  • After updating the benefit, the broker will continue. When they return to upgrade their buff, another additional assassin will join them at the spawn point, while their still-upgraded teammate will continue to kill others. Players can then alternately choose which of the two players on each side will have the updated buff with the running back.

If you time it correctly and trade regularly, you should be able to get to a point where you can continue to the root.

You will then reach a portal that requires players to find and shoot several different spirals that will open the portal. Shoot them in the indicated order, following the beams. Note that all team members must be near the portal for it to open.

This will take you back to Cataclysm again.
