Riot Games has partnered with GRID to create the VALORANT Data Portal, which we will affectionately refer to as POS (or VALORANT Data Portal in English, also known as VDP), the official repository of all VALORANT game data initially available to 30 professional teams. that make up the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2023. POS is the first platform of its kind in the FPS scene.

The portal provides esports teams with a new automated platform that allows them to access detailed data about official esports matches, including information about their own private training sessions. POS provides access to data that was previously unavailable as part of Riot’s ongoing drive to expand the competitive landscape for VALORANT.
POS makes it easy for teams to search, query, or filter data for match and practice analysis, talent assessment, and more. The system is easy to use, fully automated, and provides private access to data through a secure API (application-based user interface).
“We are thrilled to be working with GRID to create the future of esports data for the VALORANT Champions Tour. As a partner, GRID is fully aligned with our data accessibility goals and Riot’s core values. The VALORANT Data Portal is the first step in our shared vision of making official VALORANT data more accessible, starting with our professional teams,” said Jon Knauss, Head of Competitive Data for Esports Programs at Riot Games.
GRID and Riot entered into an exclusive partnership for VALORANT in early 2022, focusing on the commercial distribution of official esports data assets through the GRID data platform. The launch of the VALORANT Data Portal is an extension of this partnership with a focus on improving access to data for various user groups.
VALORANT has revolutionized the world of esports, and we’re proud to be a part of that change by partnering with Riot on game data. GRID and Riot’s shared vision of a game data-driven esports ecosystem is coming to life with the launch of the VALORANT data portal. “Our goal is to change how fans interact with competitive games using data, and we are proud to partner with Riot Games on this mission,” said Moritz Maurer, CEO of GRID.
The portal will be deployed to 30 VCT partner teams across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. We will announce plans to give the entire VALORANT esports community access to POS at a later date.
