Fyraxis Games officially announced that civilization 7 is under development in the studio. Along with the announcement, it was revealed that the new head of the studio would be former COO Heather Hazen.

Additionally, Jake Solomon, former creative director of the Marvel XCOM and Midnight Suns franchises, will be leaving the studio. Solomon retires after more than two decades at Firaxis Games and was instrumental in resurrecting the turn-based tactics genre with XCOM: Enemy Unknown, XCOM 2 and Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
