If you’ve been patiently waiting for the Gotham Knights update, we’ve got good news: the update is here, and it includes a handy list of improvements and fixes for the superhero game. For the PC version, this patch should improve performance, stability, and graphical fidelity in a few key areas, as well as make some nice tweaks to the UI and input.
On top of that, the patch includes fixes for various open world crash cases, as well as crashes that occur when using fast travel points, returning to the main menu, and using the speech-to-text accessibility feature.
PC gamers should see better performance as well, as WB Games has improved rendering speed, streaming time, streaming time, and performance. Sync jitter with and without V-Sync enabled should be reduced, and the developers have also reduced GPU and CPU issues that could cause stutters and crashes.
The patch also brings several graphical improvements to Gotham Knights, fixing a bug that caused HDR to display on the wrong monitor and a bug that reset post-processing options when players exited photo mode. The patch fixes some artifacts you may have seen during Clayface’s boss fight and adds a GPU driver check to make sure you’re using the latest software for your graphics card.
The patch also includes some UI/UX fixes: the update adds missing sound effects for the menu, fixes some iffy actions on the social wheel, and generally tightens the bolts on the social menu.
