As we wait for Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 3, Festival of Friendship, developer Gameloft announces some exciting news about a challenge we’ll be taking on when it arrives. The Dreamlight Valley Enchantment update will be out very soon, and the main character of the Disney feature, Mirabelle Madrigal, will be one of the best games ever on PC. In the new teaser, the team hints that we’ll also be seeing something very important to Mirabelle: the door.
While all of the Dreamlight Valley characters featured in the game worlds are found behind the gates of the mighty Dream Castle, this news is actually about a different type of gate. If you’ve seen Charm, you know that the Mirabell family, the Madrigals, receive a special gift as children, courtesy of Charm, who blesses them with magical powers.
These abilities manifest when a child opens a special door on his fifth birthday. However, in the opening moments of the film, Mirabelle’s door disappears when she reaches out to touch the doorknob, meaning that she doesn’t receive a gift like her siblings. This of course triggers further events. As such, Mirabelle has a special relationship with the gates that she apparently intends to bring with her to the Valley of Dreamlight.
Taking to Twitter, Gameloft posts a clip of a shiny gold doorknob and informs players: “A new…door…opens in the third update to Disney Dreamlight Valley. Follow this “key” to unlock it. An additional joke follows: “Though there are many worlds in the castle waiting to be opened, this key will open a different kind of door…”
It remains to be seen if we will actually see Mirabelle’s door or if it will be the door of one of her family members, even if Gameloft add that the door in question “makes a world of difference to one of the new characters you’ll meet in our next update.” This presumably refers to Mirabelle, but we may see another character join her with Olaf from Frozen, like in the Toy Story update that introduced Buzz and Woody.
