Destiny 2’s main weapon balance update could be coming to the game sometime after Destiny 2 Lightfall’s release date, according to developer Bungie, who is under the Mercules label and is working on an FPS game. Mercules shared an update on a recent episode of the Destiny 2 Shooting Range stream. Identifying himself as an assistant weapon designer working on Destiny 2, Mercules shared his thoughts in response to a fan’s question about the reason why. which Bungie is still not polishing its hands. pistols and pulse rifles in PvE.
“Actually, we’re looking at primary weapon balance in PvE,” the developer explains. “Apparently, we’ve heard a lot of complaints that high-precision weapons in PvE, in particular, don’t play well on high-quality content right now. But there will be a lot of significant changes to Lightfall, to the sandbox, to the content, to everything. So what we hope is to see things change after Lightfall and then maybe take a holistic approach to primary weapons in PvE.”
“We didn’t want to make too big of a change before Lightfall came along and shook things up,” Mercules continues, “because we ended up having to do it all over again anyway.”
Mercules’ comments begin at 11:50am on the Twitch video and were first posted by reddit user packman627.
