Asika Island, also known as “Sea Lion Island”, is part of a small archipelago located in a still unknown and unexplored region of the Pacific Ocean. The latest information indicates that the island is being used as a hub by the ultra-nationalist Konny group for the distribution of chemical and biological weapons sent from a laboratory suspected of being Al-Mazra.
Originally conceived as a resort, the development of Asika Island was halted in the mid-1990s for unknown reasons. Since then, travel to the island has been severely restricted.
