Wait Hades 2 release date? After the runaway success of Hades, fans are looking forward to what Supergiant Games has in store for them next to this indie smash hit.
The mythological roguelike game was featured at The Game Awards 2022. While its previous titles received critical acclaim, Hades 2 is Supergiant Games’ first sequel. We expect great things from the developers: the original Hades was so good that it made our list of the best PC games. Hades 2 release date
As of this writing, Hades 2 does not have a confirmed release date. Supergiant Games said that a release date will be announced closer to the end of the game.
Like the original, Hades 2 will be available as an Early Access game on PC for player feedback. Based on the first game, we expect Hades 2 to release for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
Trailer of Aida 2
The first and so far only trailer for Hades 2 was released during The Game Awards 2022. It begins with an animated video featuring the game’s protagonist, Melinoe. She battles Hekate, a Greek goddess often associated with witchcraft, who seems to be some kind of mentor to Melinoe. After being defeated by Hekate, they say a few words before saying the words “Death to Kronos”, referring to Kronos, the leader of the Titans from the Greek myths and the father of Zeus, Hades and his brothers.
The second half of the trailer focuses on the gameplay and shows off some of the new areas that players have access to. It also features several gods that players will interact with, including Apollo, Nemesis, and Moros, son of Nyx. The trailer ends with a shot of Hades in chains warning Kronos before Melinoe vows to save him.
The story and gameplay of Hades 2
In Hades 2, players take control of Melina, the daughter of Hades and brother of the original game’s protagonist, Zagreus. The Titan Kronos escaped his imprisonment in the Underworld to take revenge on the gods of Olympus who had lured him there.
Supergiant has described Kronos as the “Titan of Time”, suggesting that this Kronos is a combination of the Titan Kronos, the aforementioned father of Zeus and Hades, and Chronos, the Greek personification of time. The Greeks often considered these two symbols to be identical. It’s confusing, we know. The game is once again set in the underworld, this time with new locations, dangerous enemies, and more.
While you don’t have to play Hades to understand the story of Hades 2, Supergiant has confirmed that there will be plenty of references to the first game, and the developers have promised even more references to Greek mythology and culture, which made the world so exciting. for the first time.
While we don’t know much about Hades 2 yet, based on the trailer, it’s safe to assume the game is very similar to the original. The roguelike elements and isometric view remain, and while the Boons system seems to be making a comeback, it looks like a whole new pantheon of gods will be providing updates this time around.
Also, Melinoe seems to focus more on magic during combat, unlike Zagreus. Supergiant describes her as “an immortal witch with strong magical powers” as well as “deadly abilities with a variety of ghost weapons.” This magic can be seen in parts of the trailer, both in her battle with Hekate and in the game itself.
