We forgive you for thinking there’s absolutely no difference between these screenshots, but look closely and you’ll see a bit more detail in each cube. This is because the Faithful texture pack is a 32×32 version of the default Minecraft texture pack, so it’s double the resolution, but still faithful to the original You’ll notice that the bricks look rounder, the trees are fuller, and the grass is thicker. If you want more, there’s even Faithful 64x.
Mythical
Last version: 19.3
Some wilderness packs offer a darker or grittier theme, but the Mythic texture pack tops that up to 11 with incredibly dark fantasy vibes. As you can see in the image above, the main changes to Mythic relate to the mobs you may encounter along the way, and what you don’t see is that the UI has also been redesigned in a medieval style, so this pack is perfect for anyone looking to delve into the gloomy darkness. Minecraft.
epic adventure
Last version: 1.19.3
Epic Adventures is the place to go if you’re looking for something a little more realistic while still keeping the typical Minecraft feel. Its 32x resolution means it has twice the detail – we have to say, some seriously pretty leaves, not to mention wonderfully bright sunshine.
jiklus
Last version: 1.19.2
The Jicklus pack isn’t much different from the default Minecraft skin – it makes everything a bit warmer, like a rustic sepia wash, there’s also a fancy shortcut bar and various mob skins. Take a look at the brighter turquoise mud above. The minerals are brighter, the lava is brighter, and all of this is reflected on the surface, as well as in the Nether and the End. It’s perfect for RPG-style fantasy maps or just creating a laid-back Minecraft farm with just Little different cattle.
sapix craft
Last version: 1.19.2
Sapixcraft is a colorful and eye-catching Minecraft resource pack with different resolutions – we chose 32x, but resolutions up to 512x are available on their website. There is also an addon that will allow you to wield Zelda’s master sword so you can go and save the kingdom as the hero you were born to be.
RetroNES
Last version: 1.17
With this texture pack we go back in time even further: RetroNES is one of the best resource packs with a carefully crafted old-school color scheme and sharp black outlines. The original artist stopped working on it a while back, but luckily it was recently revived and updated to version 1.19, though if you want the retro sound pack to work with it, you’ll have to get away with it. .
jolicraft
Last version: 1.17
Jolicraft has been a favorite Minecraft texture pack for years, and it’s easy to see why: the “original texture pack” has a lot of charm. Many Minecraft texture packs have a theme that they try to embody, but Pretty is all about self-expression.
It’s something out of a whimsical fantasy world that better reflects its own happy demeanor: the swirling sun definitely looks more cheerful than the default crouching square. The color palette is completely different, so you might prefer the vanilla greens of Minecraft, but you can’t beat a cute dirty pig.
