AMD Ryzen 7000 line of gaming processors is now available for purchase

The new AMD Ryzen 7000 chips are officially on sale and now you can get your gaming processor upgrade online. The line’s debut follows its announcement at CES 2023, but you’ll have to wait a bit for Team Red’s more powerful X3D processors.

The fight for the crown of the best gaming processor is endless, and AMD relentlessly tries to cover all the bases. While Intel’s rivals in Raptor Lake put up a great fight, Zen 4 could take on current-gen rivals and the upcoming blue team armada in Meteor Lake. However, 2023 begins with an emphasis on price and efficiency rather than outright performance, and AMD’s Ryzen 7000 appears to possess both of the above attributes.

The trio of non-X Zen 4 7000 processors includes the AMD Ryzen 9 7900, 7 7700, and 5 7600 starting at $229. The leading pack is equipped with 12 cores and runs up to 5.4 GHz, while its eight and six core siblings come with clock speeds of 5.3 and 5.1 respectively. In terms of power, all three chips have a TDP of 65W, a significant difference from the 7000X.

Of course, if you’re looking to build the best possible gaming PC out of AMD components, you’ll probably settle for the Ryzen 7000X3D alternatives. The company claims that these chips will serve as the “best gaming processors”, claiming up to 29% higher performance for the Intel i9-13000K in various esports titles. We’re still waiting for an official release date, but at least non-X newbies can fill the gap for now.
