unlocked all Modern Warfare 2 Achievements – or trophies if you’re on PS5 – that’s no small feat, as it requires dedication, skill, and a bit of insight. Achievements in Modern Warfare 2 range from being a ghost, taking down enemies before they know you’re there, or playing “the floor is lava” on a ship’s deck. Although most of them are completed in the campaign, some must be obtained as the story progresses in co-op.
So really, the real work doesn’t start until after the Call of Duty campaign credits roll. Getting all the FPS game achievements the first time, at least without a guide, is almost impossible, that’s why we are here to help you out. Luckily, we’ve listed all of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign and special ops achievements and their descriptions below. Whenever possible, we even have a tutorial to walk you through.
Modern Warfare 2 Achievement List
Here are all the Modern Warfare 2 achievements and trophies and how to complete them:
- Alligator: Shoot three enemies underwater in “Wetwork” mode.
- there must be wind: Rescue the hostages in Countdown to prevent the enemies from firing their weapons.
- no weapons: Complete Solo without firing your pistol.
- Road test: Drive five types of vehicles in Violence and timing.
- ghost in training: Get to El Sin Nombre’s attic without killing anyone or setting off the alarm.
- Don’t touch the bridge!: In Dark Water, move 90 meters towards the bow of the ship without touching the deck.
- keeping it: Reach the prize using the first vehicle you stole.
- thief knight: Open three safes in the campaign – our Modern Warfare 2 safe codes guide will make it easier for you.
- debt wall: Kill three enemies with a riot shield.
- reckless: Under the effect of a flashbang, kill two enemies.

- fucking way to die: Kill an enemy in a portable pot, for which we also have a guide, if you don’t know where to find this vulnerable enemy.
- nessie: Get to the barge without being seen in Wet Job mode.
- There is no time to lose: Complete the monitoring sequence in four minutes.
- boy with a backpack: Kill gassed or blinded enemies with Molotov, Semtex and Frag in Prison Break.
- cut off snake heads: Complete all campaign missions on Veteran or Realistic difficulty.
- it’s time for a pint: Complete the campaign on any difficulty.
- There was no one: Never activate the alarm in Recon by Fire.
- fight night: Earn three stars in low profile mode.
- one hell of a ride: Earn three stars in the forbidden zone.
- kings of the mountain: Get three stars in Defender: Mount Zaya.
- It’s getting dark: ends low profile without activating any alarm.
- just the beginning: Earn at least one star in cooperative mode.
- full EES: Find 20 cooperative intelligence items.
