Nvidia RTX 4070Ti It’s now official, and it’s all about boosting performance without the running costs – an absolute godsend in today’s climate. Released at CES 2023, it is currently the cheapest graphics card in the RTX 4000 series, but prices may vary since it is a members-only GPU with no Founders Edition support.
Pricing for the Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti starts at $799 / £799, which means it might be the best graphics card for mid-range builds, but could be closer to four figures depending on which build you choose. However, it’s much more affordable than the canceled 12GB RTX 4080 it replaces and has the same amount of 21Gbps GDDR6X video memory. Other specifications include 7680 CUDA cores with 285W TDP to reduce overhead.
According to Nvidia, the RTX 4070 Ti outperforms the RTX 3090 Ti. You have to take the numbers with a grain of salt, but the green team claims it’s three times faster in Cyberpunk 2077 with RT Overdrive and DLSS 3. Other numbers have between one and two times the performance of games like Marvel’s Spider. Man: Miles Morales, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Mileage on it can vary, but the real winner here is that it consumes almost half the power.
We’ll have our own verdict when our Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti review drops later this week. For the same reason we say the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 isn’t quite as great as the RTX 4060, the real test will be how well the 4070 Ti handles DLSS 3 with frame generation.
While this effectively replaced the RTX 3090 Ti, Nvidia still treats the 4000 series as an addition to the previous generation, slotting the new card in between the 3080 and 4080.
