Steam has slashed the price of Massive Monster’s Game Award roguelike Cult of the Lamb, whose first major content update is scheduled for early 2023. What better way to start the year than by killing innocents with new moves? animals, right?
Devolver has announced that the titular lamb will be able to perform powerful attacks in the new year. All you have to do is hold the attack button to take out your enemies.
Each weapon has its own powerful attack: the dagger creates a line of sharp blades that fall from the sky, and the ax now acts as a boomerang that slices through enemies and allows you to play with geometry to help you kill with style.

This new addition tops the game’s first content update (it’s completely free, by the way), which should also include quality of life updates and difficulty changes. It will also add “depth” to this tragic horror story; however, what that means is still unclear.
The game’s difficulty level settings will no doubt be music to the ears of many animal anarchists, as the game was deemed too easy upon release, with players playing through its story in a matter of hours. Hopefully this update will bring players back to the maniacal world of Cult of the Lamb, but if not, the 25% discount on Steam will probably help.
