Virtus.pro has made major changes to their Rainbow Six Siege roster.. Russian esports organization announced the purchase of a player Artur “ShepparD” Ipatov and coach Evgeny “Zheka” Bokhanov. Both descended directly from the formation of Team Empire. Another important change is that Danil “JoyStiCK” Gabov, the former Virtus.pro training coach will take on the role of the player.
Kirill “YaGo” Zolotov, Virtus.pro team manager for Rainbow Six Siege, commented on the team changes:
“Following the unsatisfactory results we had in Phases 1 and 2, we have decided to change the global roster and introduce a quartet of players who have played in Team Empire in the past. But in that transfer window, we could only qualify for two players and a manager, although ShepparD was signed along with everyone else in September. After talking with the players, we decided on the optimal lineup for Phase 3, with JoyStiCK remaining as the manager and deputy.
ShepparD is a very smart and experienced player who should not be introduced to the R6 crowd – he has long been known as one of the best poppers in the world. I’m sure it will help us to achieve good results in qualifying for SI 2023 in January and next EUL season. Zheka has been working with the guys for a long time and already knows how to influence a particular player, so the choice of a coach was obvious.”
