A new Warhammer 40k Darktide patch has been released today which brings some stability improvements and adds AMD ray tracing support to the co-op launch options. However, one change will be immediately noticeable when you start a mission: player outlines have been disabled.

Developer Fatshark says that player outlines were “not working correctly”, which is why the feature was disabled in the latest patch that updates the game to version 1.0.21. According to the patch notes on Steam, the studio plans to re-ship the project in the near future.

The Darktide launcher also got a few updates in this patch. It should now automatically detect high-end GPUs on laptops, and you can enable and disable AMD ray tracing options in the launcher settings menu before launching the game.

Fatshark also fixed another batch of crashes, such as one that occurred when tagging items and another that sometimes occurred when players opened the launcher.

Check out the system requirements for Warhammer 40k Darktide to see if your PC is ready for you to jump in and start cleaning up Chaos from the dark underworld of Tertium.
