SEGA today announced that Netflix’s Sonic the Hedgehog animated series, Sonic Prime, co-produced by WildBrain, will premiere on December 15th. Made for kids, families, and longtime fans, the show’s 24-episode first season builds on the essence of the franchise and introduces Blue Hedgehog to an adrenaline-fueled, high-speed adventure in which the fate of a strange new multiverse hangs. in the hands of a hero.
The series will be animated by Vancouver-based studio Wildbrain, with SEGA and WildBrain working together on production, distribution and licensing. Man of Action Entertainment, creators of Ben 10 and the characters from the Oscar-winning animated film Big Hero, will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series.
