Overclockable 13th-generation Intel Core processors have been available for a few months, but in the meantime Team Blue has left low-end PC makers under the radar. All this could change in the near future with the advent of cheaper and less powerful processors. They will still perform just fine though, based on leaked benchmarks.

Gamers are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing the best gaming CPU for their build these days, and both AMD and Intel offer some attractive chips. However, the blue team is in a good position to offer more processors compatible with its current generation socket.

However, according to the benchmarks obtained g01d3nm4ng0It seems that the new 13th generation Intel Core processors can offer up to 53% more performance than their last generation counterparts (via Videocardz). In multicore tests, the Cinebench R23 i9 13900 outperformed the i9 12900 with a score of 38,496 compared to 25,001 for its predecessor.

The bottom of the product stack is no less promising, with the i5 13400 offering 28% more performance than the 12400. Single-core gains are less impressive, hovering around 6-10%, but still a gets better.

We’ll likely get more details on these 13th Gen Intel Core processors at CES, including their release date and price. We hope to see playtests appear soon after.
