Usually, when you think of the best buildings in The Sims 4, you tend to think of beautiful, handcrafted houses with beautiful gardens and luxurious interiors. The creator of The Sims, Mita Sims, decided to take a different approach, embracing the aesthetic of dilapidated, abandoned apartment buildings normally associated more with games like Fallout 4 and Nier Automata than the lively life simulation of The Sims. .
This abandoned building from The Sims 4 has all the hallmarks of the classic ruined buildings you’d expect to see in your regular post-apocalyptic adventures: broken floors, crumbling walls, and rubble strewn across the standing structures of all the ruined sections. Nature began to flourish in its place, grass and bushes growing on the cracked walls, on the exposed frames and foundations.
It’s a well-packaged design that really captures the atmosphere with haunting beauty, and watching Mita put it all together in a quick-build video is even more impressive. It’s almost magical to see designs come to life by watching an experienced Sim builder work like this.
Perhaps most impressively, this version of The Sims 4 does not use The Sims 4 CC, which means that everything is done using items and items available in-game, rather than using community-created and user-generated content. We’d love for it to become a true Sims family home, but it would also make a great (if a bit tattered) addition to any Sims 4 neighborhood.
