According to the developer, The Last of Us Part 1 will run on the Steam Deck when the remake’s PC port launches in 2023. Traditionally a PlayStation exclusive, the game’s coming to Valve’s portable gaming PC it’s good news. for those who don’t have a Sony console.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to play the popular post-apocalyptic game Naughty Dog on the go, or even on the best Steam Deck, that dream is about to come true. The news itself comes from study co-chair Neil Druckmann, who tweeted about this recently.
The post simply says “Ellie and Joel will grace the deck of Steam” so fans don’t have to worry about whether it will be supported when the new version hits PC on March 3, 2023. The tweet is accompanied by a short gif of Bill clenching his fists Ron Swanson style, presumably in celebration.
Of course, it is impossible to know if the game will be fully tested or if it will only be classified as playable. Given the history of PS exclusive games coming to PC, you may need to lower some settings and/or increase the frame rate. limiter for a better experience, especially since this is a fancy new version with improved visuals, not the original that graced the PS3 in 2013. But at this point, that’s just speculation. It’s certainly not the first PlayStation game to come to the portable gaming PC.

Many of you will no doubt be delighted to have the latest build from the developer running on your device when The Last of Us’s PC release date rolls around, especially since the series tends to have a strong influence on Sony. However, it remains to be seen how playable it will actually be.
