As the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX approached, benchmark data was scarce. This puzzle helps build anticipation for the card as gamers want to see how it fares against its rival, the RTX 4080. However, we now have some understanding of how the pixel boosters stack up against each other.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is the best graphics card in the Team Red lineup, and all eyes are on the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, which will bring Team Red the crown of performance and cost. It’s going to be something of an uphill battle with supposedly less powerful ray tracing capabilities and probably won’t be able to match the RTX 4090. That said, its price could sway heavily in its favor.

According to recently discovered Geekbench results, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is approximately 15% faster than the RTX 4080 when using the Vulkan API (via Videocardz). Compared to the RTX 4090, the Team Red champion is 20% behind. Unfortunately, it falls short of OpenCL benchmarks and instead offers similar performance to the RTX 3090 Ti.

We will have more useful tests of the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX soon, using the best PC games and other applications. Just watch your wallets for now, as rumors also suggest that the GeForce RTX 4080 price drop could happen very soon.
