There aren’t many actual boss fights in The Callisto Protocol, but this certainly feels like one, as a serious contender for one of the best horror games pits you against a massive two-headed beast. Destroying him will earn you the “Two Heads Are Better Than One” Achievement/Trophy, but even if you have all of the Callisto Protocol weapons, you’ll probably have a hard time killing him right away. Here are some tips to beat the two-headed boss in Callisto Protocol.
Two Headed Boss Guide
This boss fight has two stages and the first one is when the enemy has two heads. Your goal is to kill half of his body: on the left side is a sharp weapon that looks like a sword and on the right side is something that looks like a hammer. We recommend focusing your attacks on this left side first, simply because once you reach stage two, dodging the slightly slower hammer blow becomes a bit easier. You must use a weapon, because one hit with your melee attack will only kill you.
You’ll know you’ve reached stage two when Two-Head drops to his knees; at this point, you have time to quickly reload if necessary, before closing in and hitting him with your melee attack to start the second phase. Don’t leave him too long or he will get back up.
You can’t use your GRP against this big guy, so dodging is key. Make sure that no matter what, you alternate dodging left and right each time he attacks. The Riot Gun is the best weapon for this fight as you will always be around and you should have enough ammo in the boxes around the platform. I recommend getting some of the best Callisto Protocol upgrades in time for this fight.
You probably won’t have enough time to heal before he comes and hits you again, and you won’t have room to get ammo, so make sure you have everything before the two-headed one and all your weapons don’t spawn. . . fully reloaded: you can still use the hand cannon on the initial two-headed approach, before switching to the shotgun after your first dodge.
