The Destiny 2 scene, which debuted as part of the Season of Plunder conclusion, brings back one of MMO’s biggest characters.

The scene narrated by Saint-14 depicts the awakening of Osiris, a cutting-edge sorcerer who has gone through thousands of time simulations in an FPS game to save humanity.

Osiris has been in a state of reduced consciousness since hunting season, which began more than two years ago. His ghost, Sagira, sacrificed herself to save him from being killed by the hive god Xivu Arat, leaving him vulnerable. The next set of events acted as a catalyst for the Witch Queen to eventually follow her, as Savathoon took possession of her body, assumed her identity, and used her to spy on the Vanguard in the Tower. Savatun eventually retrieved Osiris in exchange for Mara Sov’s help in removing the queen worm from the hive, but left him unconscious and comatose.

It would appear that the Relics of Nezarek collected by players throughout the season were part of a cure that would supposedly awaken Osiris.

The scene shows that Mystraax felt the shrines speak to him, with Saint-14 describing their power as terrifying. However, even his connection to Darkness did not stop Mizraax from using his power, making a tea, which he gave to Osiris to wake him from his slumber.

It’s important to note that earlier in the season, Misrax snapped at Spider when he suggested using the power of the relics to his advantage. Edio, an Eliksni scholar, also refers to the “curse of Nezarek”. Taken together, this indicates that something terrible may have arisen from Osiris’s awakening. One theory is that the power of darkness could have orchestrated the use of the relics to awaken Osiris, suggesting possible evil.

A scene then reveals that since Savatun had usurped Osiris’s body to spy on the Tower, he was now able to access his thoughts. He talks about seeing a mystery about Neptune. Players who watched the Destiny 2 Lightfall demo know that this secret likely belongs to Neomun, a city currently unknown to the inhabitants of the Last City. While we haven’t quite figured out what to make of him yet, the Destiny 2 Rasputin trailer hints that Destiny 2 Season 19 could see the return of the Warmind, with the only other known being fully aware that there could be a city beyond. the last city

The scene ends on a touching note as Osiris confesses his love for Saint-14. Guardians familiar with the lore know that Osiris and Saint-14 are in love, and it’s great to see Osiris wake up to kiss.

Osiris’s return marks a turning point in Destiny 2’s history, as he has been missing for quite some time. Although it will likely take him some time to recover from his dormancy, there is no doubt that he will still play a role in the upcoming event series of the space game.
