The first reviews of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 have finally surfaced, just days before the graphics card’s launch. While Team Green has already shared some details and internal benchmarks for its new GPUs, we can now see how well its performance claims hold up to scrutiny.
It might be the best graphics card released this year if you don’t want to splurge on the RTX 4090, but our Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 review notes that the new GPU itself is quite expensive. Let’s see what other media think:
Leave | Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Overview |
PCGamesN | Killer 4K video card, terrible price |
club386 | The only |
deserted | Price is the main enemy of GPUs |
digital foundry | Powerful GPU at a great price |
player nexus | lost nvidia |
jayztwocents | NVIDIA should have STARTED with the RTX 4080 |
Linus Tech Tips | Nvidia lied in a good way |
Everyone seems to agree that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 offers, as expected, most of the performance that its more powerful and more expensive sibling offers. This is the case whether Nvidia DLSS 3.0 is enabled or not, which means you can expect even more frame rate increases when the scaling technology is enabled.
We won’t know for sure what the RTX 4080 looks like until the AMD Radeon RX 7000 series arrives later this year, especially the cheaper RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT. You can expect us to review each of these cards in the near future, so stay tuned!
