FURIA Esports ends partnership with FTX

Brazilian organization RAGE eSports after the bankruptcy of the cryptocurrency exchange FTP extension decided to terminate the sponsorship agreement signed in April 2022. FURIA co-founder Andre Akkari announced this on his Twitter. Here is the official statement:

“FURIA is keeping a close eye on the activities of all its partners, always looking for the opportunity to contribute with them, but prioritizing our fans! The current case of our cryptocurrency sponsor making global headlines is an example of this. After talking to our contacts at the company, it has been decided that FURIA will stop showing FTX by removing the brand from all of its spaces.

The goal is to ensure that the current phase of the company does not harm the fans. FURIA continues to value and promote its strong partners, but always prioritizes our fans at all costs.”

Also these days I TSM and the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) they’re trying to figure out how to deal with sponsorship. In fact, two companies signed very important agreements with the platform last year.

The North American esports organization publicly announced in June 2021 the largest sponsorship deal in the esports world. TSM signed a 10-year, $210 million contract.
