To celebrate the launch of Sonic Frontiers, ASRock is launching an officially licensed Sonic the Hedgehog motherboard that supports 12th and 13th generation Intel Core processors. While these chips are fast enough on their own, this kit could be a must-have for fans of the titular mammal or those who I have to go fast.
The ASRock Z790 PG Sonic has a blue/silver color scheme and many nods to the series, the most striking of which is undoubtedly the 16-bit rotary ring on the rear I/O cover. Flipping the board over, you’ll also find the iconic hedgehog stencil in the middle of the run.
It’s not just a pretty face, as it has the specs to match the best gaming motherboard. In addition to plenty of USB ports, it supports the latest (and fastest) DDR5 RAM modules and PCIe Gen 5 NVMe M.2 SSDs.
The official MSRP is unknown, but we expect it to cost a bit more than the standard ASRock Z790 PG motherboard as it is a somewhat limited edition. However, they are already available, so if you want them, I have to go fast while stocks last.
