Plan B Terraform on Steam: Game a Store in early 2023

Gaddy Games founder Nicolas Gadenne is proud to present his new project, Plan B Terraformwhich will reach Steam Early Access (Steam page) in the first months of 2023. After more than three years in the oven, the French indie developer aims to bring the game to players and improve it following community feedback.

Nicolas Gadenn, who previously created the successful sandbox survival game Dig or Die, which has sold over 250,000 copies on Steam, defines his new creation as “a calm and contemplative sci-fi sandbox game with an emphasis on automation.” for the near future. Plan B Terraform too offers an educational approach to the greenhouse effect and the mechanisms of the water cycle“.

Manage a newly discovered planet, watch its evolution and increase its population. Get resources, process them and transport them to cities to continue colonization. On a mission to transform the planet to make it habitable, the player will have to heat up the atmosphere, shape rivers, oceans and grow forests.

Plan B Terraform: getting to know the game

• Get minerals, transform and transport them to cities so they can expand.
• Build transformation devices like greenhouse gas plants to gradually heat up the atmosphere, melt ice and make it rain until rivers and oceans form. Then, when conditions are right, you can plant trees until they grow into large forests.
• Huge planetary-scale playground, consisting of over a million hexes.
• “Real” planet transformation with real-time global simulation of temperature, vegetation, rain and water flowing into dynamic rivers and oceans.
• A radical evolution of the population, from a few inhabitants to a million or more.

Gaddy Games is an independent video game studio founded in 2011 by Nicolas Gadenne (formerly of Eugen Systems, Vivendi games, MKO Games and Punchers Impact). After publishing several small games for web and mobile, in 2015 he released Dig or Die, a unique action/strategy sandbox game for PC/Steam.
