The beautiful sci-fi game Doom FPS is now available on Steam

Everyone knows what Doom is when it comes to FPS games, but how incredibly colorful is the pixel art in Doom, where you shoot aliens in various sci-fi inspired environments? Personally, we think that a few seconds of watching Mala Petaka should be enough to convince you of its premise: use all the classic weapons you’d expect from a game based on the GZDoom engine, such as a shotgun, grenade launcher, plasma rifle, and over, each other to crush enemies in fierce combat.

Mala Petaka, which roughly translates to “bad luck” or “disaster” in Indonesian, puts you in the shoes of “an angry amnesiac who just wants to kill all the ugly green aliens and pesky drones he comes across while trying to get his memories back.” “. . “It is produced by solo Indonesian indie developer Sanditio Bayu and features an incredible soundtrack from multiple Indonesian composers including Remedmatika, Shakaboyd and Son of a Bit.

In addition to the smooth and dynamic first-person shooter gameplay, Mala Petaka includes a number of useful bonuses for players, such as time freeze, rage, and invulnerability. Each weapon has an alternate fire mode, giving you even more combat options as you take on waves of opponents that stand between you and your precious memories.

The levels are also non-linear, starting from a central node that allows you to move through each level in any order you choose. You can also choose from six different difficulty levels to suit your personal taste, from super easy mode to instant death mode that will really test your reflexes.

Previously available on the Sanditio Itch.io page, Mala Petaka is now available on Steam and you can download the demo to play right now while you wait for the full game to release.

If that’s your go-to, maybe a Doom-inspired Half-Life “sequel” might tickle your fancy. If you want more, the remake of the classic 2009 PC game Solium Infernum looks like a great cross between Doom and Civilization.
