Overwatch 2 allows users to create special game modesThey can give any names they want. But one of them is called “sexual violence simulator“(Sexual Harassment Simulator in English), without Blizzard’s control system doing anything to block it. The company then intervened to make the mod invisible, which is still accessible using a code.
Some users have gone so far as to ask for it. boycott As Lynn MBE on Twitter, Overwatch 2’s until the situation is resolved:
“Don’t let your kids play Overwatch. My twelve-year-old son found us in a custm mode called ‘sexual harassment’ which simulates rape of female characters. Fortunately, he realized it was bad and quit the game and I said so. Don’t play Overwatch.”
In response to his tweet, the comedian e twitch streamer Brian “Limmy” Limond posted a few images showing the offending mode to dispel any doubts about its existence:
Creating the mod YouTuber Amatsuhikone and Overwatch was already playable using a code, but it’s apparently been updated with the arrival of Overwatch 2. By choosing this, the player is forced to play as Cassidy against a team of female characters. The top left of the screen explains what you need to do to win: Use the Flashbang skill to stun the victims, then “Tbag to fuck” with spaces to bypass the automatic censorship. When you scroll down, the text “raping …” appears at the top of the screen. The victim is then marked as “pregnant” and gives birth to a Torbjorn boot to simulate the birth of the child.
As noted, forewarned of this, Blizzard has stripped away the visibility of the mod by making exaggerated statements that it doesn’t tolerate similar abuses, but the five-letter code that gives you access to it is still active. Be that as it may, moderation has so far been powerless in the face of chance. It is not even known whether the perpetrator was punished in any way.
