Demeo update improves DnD immersion in Meta Quest 2 and Pro

Meta Quest Pro it may target business users, but that hasn’t stopped VR game developers from taking advantage of its exciting new features. Originally known as Project Cambria, Meta’s latest standalone VR headset features eye and face tracking, as well as a color transfer mode designed to create new mixed reality experiences. Now Resolution Games is making the most of its latest Demeo update, and it could be the VR DnD we’ve been waiting for.

A free upgrade for Quest users, the new Demeo pass-through is available in color for Meta Quest Pro using the best VR headset technology. Passthrough allows you to link the playing field to any real table, creating a more immersive experience that includes rolling your virtual dice on the surface in front of you. It is also available in Quest 2, although it is limited to black and white.

While it’s not in this particular update, Resolution promises more mixed reality features in the future, including support for manual tracking. Unfortunately, the developer has yet to confirm a PC VR version for this step, which may be disappointing for those playing the Steam version. For those less interested in VR but love the best PC DnD games, Demeo also got early access to PC flat screens in April.

Interestingly, Demeo wasn’t on the Meta Games list to release Quest Pro yesterday, as it focuses primarily on pro apps like Horizon Workrooms and Arkio. Since then, we’ve seen the release of Quest Pro updates for Cubism, Red Matter 2, Virtuoso, and for those who want to play Steam games on Oculus Quest 2, Virtual Desktop. We will most likely see more VR games receiving similar updates in the coming days.
