Ahead of its imminent release, Core i9 13900K benchmarks are starting to emerge, putting Team Blue’s processor far ahead of its main competitor, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. While these performance numbers come from Intel itself, they should at least give us an idea of how the Raptor Lake flagship stacks up against the more powerful Zen 4 chip.
Intel preview photos containing the Core i9 13900K benchmarks show the CPU to be 6-22% faster than the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X in gaming, making it the best CPU for gaming. games in terms of pure performance. This advantage extends to some extent to creative applications, as the images obtained by Videocardz show, but not to the same extent.
Unfortunately, these tests lack much of the basic information needed to understand how and why the Raptor Lake processor performs so well. The reference images do not contain information about the resolution at which the tests were performed, or if the best graphics card or RAM was used for gaming.
Intel Core i9 13900K benchmarks with third-party benchmarks are coming soon, so you won’t have to wait long to see CPU performance. However, rumors of Ryzen 7000 processors with 3D V-Cache continue to circulate and could create problems for the new team’s blue chips.
