The Defenders of Azeroth will be able to prepare for their journey to the Dragon Isles when the first of two pre-expansion updates are released following regional maintenance in the 25th of October! Each of the two patches leading up to the expansion will contain several features to be released in November 28.

Overhaul of the talent system
- Players will be able to explore and define new talent trees while saving various customizations made for the play style they prefer.
User Interface Changes (HUD UI)
- The first round of HUD UI updates will give players the freedom to customize the core UI, including the position and size of action bars, player borders, and more.
Special abilities
- Lots of new features that will include press-and-hold spell casting, interactive keys, controller support, and more.
Ranked solo mix
- The former Brawl will now be a PvP mode with a new ranked format that can award elite PvP rewards as well as 2v2, 3v3 and rated battlegrounds.
New combinations of classes and races:
- Players of any playable race will be able to create Rogues, Priests, and Mages, with more to come in the future.
Second stage (update 10.0.2): November 15th.
- new race/class: Draktir Sorcerer
- New area: forbidden break
- Play in the starting zone of WoW’s new hero class, the Draktir Spellcaster.
- New dungeon: Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
- In-game events: Primal Storms
- Defend the Primitive attacks with new quests and world events culminating in the release of Dragonflight.
