Rainbow Six Siege Y7S3.3 Patch Adds Abusive Text Chat Penalty

0

Watch out for your tapping fingers, as Rainbow Six Siege update Y7S3.3 has been released with a new system for detecting and blocking toxic in-game text chats. -The toxic system is activated later in the competitive multiplayer mode.

As Ubisoft pointed out in the Operation Brutal Swarm patch notes, the offensive text chat penalty does exactly what it says on the box: when it detects too many hateful and offensive messages in a certain player’s Rainbow Six Siege text chat, will trigger the Penalty, which will silence that player for the next 30 games.

However, during the initial grace period, this penalty will not work; instead, starting today, players will receive warnings when they cross the threshold of the text chat filter.

There is now a reputation tile on the main screen of Rainbow Six: Siege that will take you to the reputation hub. Here you will find information about active penalties and the number of remaining matches that will be active. Ubisoft says this will be expanded with more information as the reputation system grows and evolves.

This system also includes the Reverse Friendly Fire system, which Ubisoft fully implemented in August. This system also provided for a grace period lasting about two months.
