Zing readers voted for the most anticipated game of 2022 for seven days, and here are the results:
1st place: God of War: Ragnarok
God of War in 2018 (the same year that Red Dead Redemption 2 was released!) received the most awards for the game of the year in the world (264, of which 87 player votes) and is clearly one of the most recognizable games in recent years. PC players were finally able to experience its qualities firsthand this month, so it’s quite possible that this time they voted for the new part of the series along with console fans. They say that Ragnarok is not only the second part of the trilogy, but also the completion of the northern part of the saga, which promises great things in terms of history. The question is if we’ll actually see games this year – but according to some sources, it could allegedly happen in June (to keep the PlayStation ring free for the supposed return of The Last of Us series).
2nd place: Elden Ring
Thanks to the reputation and portfolio of the authors, this game has acquired an almost mythical status and expectations are very high. On the other hand, we’ve already had the opportunity to try it out in a relatively large public test, and it’s safe to say that anyone who likes FromSoftware and their games probably won’t be disappointed. While we’d love to see the setting a little different from the original Souls series, we can’t wait for the freedom of the open world that we’re sure will offer countless surprises for you to discover. (and laid down for them – the game – life). Gaming gourmets grit their teeth not only on the gameplay, but also on the new lore, with which the author of the Game of Thrones book saga also helped.
3rd place: STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl
This Ukrainian hardcore FPS series for PC isn’t exactly beginner-friendly, but those who got the initial shock of the demanding gameplay fell in love with it like few others. Inspired by an excellent sci-fi book and cult movie, this game world offers a ruthless fictional zone around the radioactively contaminated Chernobyl, full of deadly alien anomalies and mutants, as well as priceless artifacts with miraculous powers. It will be very interesting to see how the game first appears on consoles, but it can be assumed that it will successfully follow the path taken by the Metro series. But there will probably be a lot more hardcore against him.
4th place: Horizon Forbidden West
5th place: Dying Light 2: Stay Human
6th place: Legacy of Hogwarts
7th place: Starfield
8th place: Total War: Warhammer 3
9th place: Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
